Braving the Shave!
Donation protected
I am doing a personal challenge to raise money for St Gemma's Hospice Leeds, and the Leeds Cancer Unit, Bexley wing St James Hospital. Shaving my head in March/April.
In November, my Dad was diagnosed with a very rare, and very aggressive Cancer. Metastatic Merkel Cell Melanoma. So rare its not often seen or picked up on....there is no cure, if caught early it can be managed but life expectancy is 5yrs.
Sadly my Dads is too far advanced and within 11 weeks he has gone from being on holiday to palliative care at home.
I want to raise money in his name, which will become memory to say thank you to all the staff at St Gemmas, nurses, carers who are being amazing! Not just caring for dad but support for Mum too.
The cancer unit will hopefully be able to put the money towards more research into this type of cancer so others don't have to face what we have.
Every £1 helps.
Thank you
