Lillian, single mother of three, daughter, sister and friend, has recently experienced one of the scariest and trying times of her life. Lillian was on her way home one Friday afternoon following an enjoyable week of substitute teaching (which she may not return to for some time due to the severity of the matter), when she began experiencing throbbing pain in her head followed by a nosebleed. By Sunday afternoon, the right side of her face and arm had gone completely numb, her hearing was affected, and the pain in her face was unbearable. She was rushed to the hospital where multiple tests were performed for suspected stroke, but what was found was much different than initially believed.
Doctors found a tumor nestled on the brain stem which is compressing multiple cranial nerves that control functionality of the right side. She must now undergo an extremely risky surgery followed by an extensive recovery period. Her surgery is scheduled for 12/31 forcing her to ring in the new year in a hospital bed.
This campaign has been established in support of Lillian and her children in this time of need.
