Located in the green rolling hills of Northeast Georgia, The Bullpen Way Station & Sanctuary, Ltd. provides assistance and sanctuary for giant breed dogs and other vulnerable companion animals. Founded on the belief that all living things deserve to exist in a peaceful, stable environment and be treated with dignity and honor, we provide a space to make this possible.

Our facility was created with a specific kind of gentle giant in mind: the ones no one else wants. Any dogs deemed “hard-to-place” or “unadoptable” --the old, sick, cranky, three-legged, cross-eyed, toothless, and just plain ugly-- are all welcome to spend the rest of their days receiving all the love and attention they deserve here on the farm.
The Bullpen was organized in the summer of 2014 and construction and retrofitting of the rescue barn and property began in mid-November. Despite the fact that we originally planned to gradually scale up our operations over the course of our first year, the overwhelming need for our services greatly accelerated the timeline.
Last month, we agreed to take our first furry friend and in time since, we have been at or over capacity. Even though we are grateful to have the opportunity to help so many dogs, the sudden increase in rescue operations has been extremely challenging. We’ve had to redirect much of our energy away from spending quality one-on-one time with our canine companions in order to deal with logistics, like emergency fundraising and finding low-cost/free materials to complete the facility.
In order to continue providing the highest quality food, shelter, rehabilitation, and veterinary care to the animals we serve, we need your help. Your donations will give us the chance to complete the facility and fencing in the dogs' play yards , as well as provide the necessary attention and medical care to these wonderful dogs.
The Bullpen is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, and all donations are tax-deductible.
