Baby Clara has been welcomed into this world over 2 ½ months early due to pre-eclampsia. Ashley was put on bed rest for a few weeks, then admitted to a local hospital and transported to a larger hospital for higher acuity monitoring. After 6 days in the hospital, the doctors believed the best option was to deliver Clara.

Sweet Clara was born March 3, 2016 to Martin and Ashley. Clara weighed in at 1 pound 10.5 ounces and 13 inches long. She has amazed us all from the beginning. She is definitely a fighter! We want to show as much support as possible to Martin, Ashley and Clara during this extremely difficult but precious time in their lives. Although Clara is strong and doing well, there is a long road ahead with increasing medical bills day by day. Ashley is able to stay at the Ronald McDonald house near the hospital but there will be other travel and food expenses as well, not to mention all of the bills waiting at home while they are out of work.

Martin and Ashley would never ask for anything but we feel as their close friends this is a small way we can help. Both of them are very selfless and humble. Ashley is a registered nurse who cares for people every day and would do anything for anyone, including your family! They have been so strong, patient and courageous through this process. Let’s help take some of their financial stress away so they can enjoy time with their sweet baby girl Clara!
