A Family's Loss

Hello, my name is Yvette Mendez.  I've created this page for my dearest friend/neighbor whos sons life came to an end. First of all let me start by telling you who Jorge Campos was as a person. Growing up in the barrios of Houston, Texas, he was the youngest of five siblings. At the age 19 he had already accomplished graduating high school, had two jobs, one in which he was working as an over night security guard. Mind you, Jorge had recently enrolled into South Coast Welding Academy . The son who told his parents not to worry about things such as  rent, bills, food, etc. My personal experience with Jorge and what I've come to know is he was a positive role-model in our neighborhood for the younger kids. A well mannered young man that always held his head high regardless the  circumstances. Jorge's family, while mourning the loss of their son,  are trying to cope with the drastic event which has taken place. The money raised will go towards Jorge's family to help keep them afloat as they grieve the loss of their son. Remember anything helps. This means so much to me simply because the special person Jorge was to our family and community.  To all who take the time out to read and donate to a very special family I will be thankful for.
