Hello my name is Rachel Rodriguez! I’m 36 with 5 children. On sept. 26th of this year I found out I had cervical cancer a few weeks back I had a biopsy done indicating I would need my cervix removed. A week and a half ago I went in to have that done a few days later I was bleeding heavily and was sent to the hospital and had to have the surgical area closed, today while out I got a call from the cancer institute about my results and learned the cancer has spread and I will need yet another surgery before Christmas and not sure how long this down time will be I’ve had to let go 2 of my 3 jobs and I’m struggling to keep my last job due to everything going on my husband works as much as he can but has been missing work for me and the children I’m blessed to have all the prayers and people on my side! My health insurance was cut and now we will be coming out of pocket for that and we no longer receive food stamps due to my husband working don’t believe it fair but I guess that’s how it goes. We are struggling to make ends meat especially around the holidays we don’t know what’s next or what will happen moving forward I could imagine life without my family and will stay positive for them but if you are in the position to help it would be greatly appreciated and if you can’t financially help out prayers go a long way as well thank you all and god bless and have a wonderful holiday!
