Hello everybody,

We are creating this GoFundMe on behalf of our mom after she went through a major medical emergency recently that changed our lives in ways that we could have never dreamed up. She very recently had a ruptured intestine, which resulted in a multi week long hospitalization that took her out of work while she recovered.

Though she is out of the hospital and has been recuperating for several mouths now, the impact has been immense. She lost her job due to "Medical Termination" , and we are at present finding it hard to pay the bills — day-to-day living bills like shopping, utility bills, and rent, along with the mountainous medical bills, including a helicopter ride for emergency surgery, as well as looming future medical bills to reattach the separated intestines.

Our mom is one of the strongest women we know, and she's always been a giver. Now she is the one who needs it. We're looking for any level of assistance — big or small — to get us through this tough time while she heals and recovers.
