Support our journey for a new life

Me and my family immigrated here from Africa to find freedom from prosecution.
It  was hard when we got here, but try we did. I have always admired first responders, and when I got to the place where I could give back, I became a first responder, myself. On September 11, they where there for us, and when it was my time to answer the call, I was ready. I will never forget that day during Hurricane Sandy when I had to drive over the bridge, wind so strong, rain coming down, and the bridge swaying, but I had to get to work because Nyc needed me. I have answered every type of call you can think of; I have seen so much and worked every part of the city. But I love it all because it has helped me grow and to become the person that I am today. The good, the bad, Nyc needed me, and I needed Nyc..
Covid came, and we all worked.  Many of us catching Covid and having to stay way from our family, picking up extra shifts. Times were hard for all of us, but we where united. I remember the city coming together clapping, cheering and showing appreciation for all the first responders and health care workers.  It was truly the power of love and beautiful to see. But then things got dark. Being a black man, I watched the country tear itself apart because of my skin. I watched politicians  and corporations use my skin to get votes or to make money. It brought me to tears and broke my heart. Today, I am now told I am a ZERO. Just a another number for Deblasio . Because I chose for myself.  Because I chose to make my own decision for my health. Because I believe in other forms of healing. Working as a first responder, I was taught medically and scientifically that there is more then one way to heal a patient. It has taught me to be open. Since when did science and medicine  become so close minded? And if so, why is the one country in the world that is supposed to be free holding us to such a  closed minded way of thinking? A way of thinking that tells a person that if they are not willing to take a medicine, they will lose their home and have no food to feed their family. Because it is their way or the highway. And that my life is over. But I have been through so much in my life for it just to be over. I am a fighter. And not just when it comes to fires. But I have had to resign  from the job I love because of the stress, anxiety and the  pressure on me to go against what I believe in. Which has lead to me in this new journey.

I have had a hard time making this decision to create a new path for me and my family, but I believe in a better world. Please help us in creating that better world. Thank you all for your support and your love. The last 10 years of my life in service, I have learned so much, and I am grateful for the people that I have met. But the city of nyc have let me, my family and the citizens of NY down. And now I am here

Our plan is to buy small land and build a small home for ourselves. With fully owning these two things, we will be able to start to financially build ourselves so that we can buy more land and build more houses. Our intention is to build a community. A safe place for anyone to be free to be themselves and feel loved and cared for. We want to create a place for people to heal wether that be through drumming, dancing, singing, yoga, farming, sound healing or whatever type of services will come to fruition with this creation. For us to own land and build a small home, we will become self sufficient, and these donations will make it possible for us to detach from having to rely on anyone other than ourselves again.
