Hello there, my name is Briellen - I am from Washington State, and I am raising funds on behalf of 21yr old Ahmed Al-Kourd and his family. They are a family of eight and Ahmed was the one providing for the family until he was shot in the pelvis, and now faces serious medical issues and complications. The doctors were unable to remove the bullet due to lack of proper medical care, so it remains inside his body. He currently requires constant medical care and needs to be on a respirator and cannot move from his bed.

This is what Ahmed wishes to say:

"A family in Gaza clings to hope. Our story of survival and despair in a world full of challenges. There are moments when helping becomes more than just a kind gesture, it becomes a lifeline. My name is Ahmed Al-Kurd, 21 years old, from Gaza.

Like many others here, my family and I are struggling to survive amidst the difficulties of life we live. We are a family of 8 and have lost everything for more than two years due to the ongoing hardships. Our entire house was lost in the bombing.

Now I can't walk and I need surgery. Who will feed my little brothers now? I was the one who brought the food. Now no one can bring the food. Every morning I wake up, my only ambition is to feed my little brothers and the same annoying question: How long can we survive this?

It is the same as my case. We did not accept to collect money throughout the war until our family became psychologically destroyed and they injured our brothers. This is their condition.

But now the situation has become as you see, so we decided to help our family, even though there are people who have collected millions of money in Gaza, and we only want to help our brothers."
