Support Andrew's Journey to Recovery

Hello! I'm Britty and I am putting together this fundraiser for my best friend Andy. Please share and donate if you are able <3

Back in March, Andrew underwent facial masculinization surgery- this included a silicone chin implant for a wider jaw. This was a huge step for him on his FTM transition journey.

He had saved years for this procedure out of pocket, and was excited for relief due to the years of constant and debilitating dysphoria caused by misgendering, and not aligning with what he saw in the mirror. He did months of research, and saw that rejection was a rare occurrence.

Despite all this prep, and the efforts of his care team who were well experienced and truly did all they could - after a few months his implant has rejected. This has caused physical side effects such as granuloma, daily pain, and consistent bleeding.

He now must get it removed December 9th because of the major infection risk. Needless to say he is heartbroken, not only because of the physical discomfort, but also the impending loss of what felt so freeing.

The sum of money we are collecting will help pay for food, any lost wage due to recovery, and will also pay the deductible for the removal.
