Support Debbie as She Recovers from Emergency Surgery

We are reaching out to ask for your support for my mom, Debbie, who is facing a challenging health crisis. It’s been a tough weekend for our family, and we’re hoping to come together to provide her with the help she needs during her recovery.

Debbie has always been the heart of our family and everyone she touches. She has lived in Polk County for most of her life and has worked at Fat Jack's for the last 15 years, touching the lives of everyone she meets. Known for her kindness, generosity, and willingness to help anyone in need.

Unfortunately, this past Friday night, she started experiencing severe stomach pains and went to the ER on Saturday. After running tests and doing a CT scan, they discovered a mass on her uterus. The hospital kept her in for further evaluation, and it turns out the mass was "the size of a football"—25 centimeters. She was immediately scheduled for surgery, a full hysterectomy and abdominal surgery to remove everything and perform a biopsy on the mass. The surgery took place today, Monday, August 4th, at 1:30 p.m. She is out of surgery and in a lot of pain.

Due to this unexpected surgery, Debbie will be unable to work for 6-8 weeks while she recovers. As the primary breadwinner, this sudden loss of income is putting a tremendous strain on her ability to cover her bills and daily expenses. Her family is pitching in to help cover these expenses, but we are asking for your help to ensure she can focus on healing without the added stress of financial burden.

These funds will go directly toward supporting Debbie’s monthly expenses—rent, utilities, groceries, and anything else she may need while she takes the time to heal. Your contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a world of difference during this difficult time.
