Medical Mission to DR
Donation protected
Dear Friends and Family,
I hope this letter finds you well in all respects.
I want to share with you a ministry opportunity God has presented to me. From June 21st -June 28th of this year, I will be part of a Medical Missions team going to the Dominican Republic.
Our first stop will be Santo Domingo, the capitol of the Dominican Republic, where we will conduct a free medical clinic for 3 days and provide bags of food for each family or individual to take home with them.
While the medical team treats scores of locals from the city, another team will be ministering to the children in the surrounding area. Many of these children are victims of neglect and abuse. There is a church already in place that offers programs and summer camps to the children of the community 2-3 times a week. We will be joining forces with them to play games, music, give out toys, food, new clothes and lots of hugs. But most importantly we will show these children and adults the undying love of Christ.
Once we leave Santo Domingo, we will travel to the countryside for 1-2 days to set up another free medical clinic and treat the rural community.
We so take for granted the medical attention available to us here in the United States. I'm excited about the opportunity and experience that lies ahead. I hope you see the value in what we will accomplish.
As you can imagine, a trip like this requires financial support from a number of people. I would like to raise $3,000. No amount is considered too small—if you can support me in any financial way, I would be very grateful.
Most importantly, however, I need your prayer support. Prayer is the fuel that will allow us to be successful as we follow God's leading in ministry in these areas. Without prayer, nothing will happen.
