Just about a month ago, my partner and I took in a kitten that a friend of ours found. Initially, we were only going to foster her for two weeks. It has now been a full month, and she has not left because she is the sweetest and most playful kitten ever. She’s always extremely happy and very vocal.
At her initial vet visit, the only issue she had was hookworms and a potential ear infection. She received treatment for the ear infection, hoping that would clear things up. As of December 10, she was officially diagnosed with a polyp in her ear that is increasingly growing in size, causing her to breathe a little funny, eat a little less, and not be able to hear out of her left ear. The estimate for the surgery (ventral bulla osteotomy) is about 5K, which we were told has to happen sooner rather than later. Even though she is the happiest cat that doesn’t seem to mind having this polyp in her ear, we desperately just want her to be fully healthy.
I typically don’t ask for help, let alone do something like this, but we are desperate. I know asking for donations can be a hard ask for many people during this time of year, but truthfully, anything helps! Mulan will especially be eternally grateful & we will make sure to tell her of all the nice people who donated, no donation will go unnoticed!!
