Hi there! My name is Cheyenne and I’m raising funds for my mom, Mona. She was recently diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. She will undergo 24 weeks of chemotherapy after the port is placed next week. Unfortunately, because the mass is so large it’s inoperable until chemotherapy starts working in shrinking the mass. After 6 months of chemo, she will be reevaluated by the oncologist to see if she is eligible for a double mastectomy and reconstruction.

Mona is a daycare director so she may not be able to continue working her normal hours as she hopes. We are looking to raise funds to help my mom stay afloat with the astronomical medical bills, as well as pay rent and bills.

We are planned to have a single mastectomy this month, and radiation to begin after that. We have completed her chemotherapy treatment as of right now. We have also learned that she will stay on the immunotherapy medication for a few years before reevaluation. This specific immunotherapy has some of the most intense side effects possible. Therefore, making Mona very sick everyday.

We are asking for further support and prayers. Mona will have to be out of work for the healing after surgery to recover. She is such a fighter and has continued to work throughout chemo treatments, pain, tears, and exhaustion.

UPDATE 5/1/24:

Since January 2023 Mona has undergone 24 chemotherapy treatments, a single mastectomy, and now radiation has begun. Mona is struggling in every sense of the word. We are humbly asking for more help than ever to rally around her. If you are unable to donate, meals would be helpful as well. We are drowning in bills as she is working as many hours as she can muster up the strength for. Thank you, as always, for the unwavering support and love we’ve received.
