Hello All,
Even though our great Ambassador Nompilo has gone, lets remember her legacy and continue to support her friends. Gone but never to be forgotten. RIP Nompilo. These were her words below, and her dream.
"This is an appeal to raise funds for both medical equipment and bills for the Circle of Hope, a support group of young men and women, currently battling lung diseases. Diseases like pulmonary hypertension, Lupus, Intestinal diseases,TB, bronchitis COPD and cystic fibrosis. These lung diseases have caused so much decline in our lives, making it hard for us to perform normal day activities. COVID-19 cost many of our members their jobs since they had to quit for safety reasons. With the increasing health problems and medical bills have decided to advocate for my members to get the assistance they need.
The current situation of load shedding/electric power cuts Swaziland is affecting all of us because we have to relocate to hospitals just to just so we can breathe. Sadly, hospitals are not safe for us we catch infections from the hospital environment, as I am typing this I am in the dark and will relocate to the hospital at 3 AM. I am waiting for a taxi to come back and pick me, if l had access to a generator I wouldn’t need to move more than just a few feet to switch cables enabling my oxygen tank continue giving me the oxygen
This situation has left me and our Circle of Hope members wondering if the next time we experience load shedding …….will it be the last time we breathe.
I am pleading to the world, help provide us with oxygen cylinders oxygen, oxygen concentrators and generators so we will not have these panic attacks and finally never worry about breathing….
We are also crying out for assistance with medical bills and medication, the costs of which is sky high…sadly we are unable to work because of our health conditions. We need to pay for these medications to keep us going. We are trying hard to put up a brave face. For all those that believe in us and we are now asking that you join hands in helping us fight a little longer and bring back the lost hope to our Circle of Hope."
