The Miller family lost Deante “Peek-a-Boo” Miller, on the morning of November 28th, 2016. Peek-a-Boo’s murder along with his best friend Roderick “Trevon” Godfrey were senseless acts of brutality against two young black men. He was only 19 years old and is still remembered by students and staff in Oakland public schools as a thoughtful, athletic, young man who had a great sense of humor and a gift for math. Before his murder, he had been working for Federal Express for more than a year. His death is a great loss for his family and the West Oakland community especially his mother Annette Miller who is a dedicated leader in Oakland schools.
Our community aims to care for its families and children. Our goal is to raise $20,000; by contributing we can hold the Miller family in love and support during this difficult time.
