Our beautiful, amazing mom was diagnosed with Endometrial cancer which has metastasized to both lobes of her liver an inoperable ( stage 4 ) cancer on 2/19/24. It came as a total shock to all of us. She did have to have surgery because of mass blockage and now has a colostomy bag but they explained they are not able remove the mass. She spent 3 weeks in the hospital recovering. Mom started seeing her oncologist in April to get ready to start her fight against cancer and treatment. In May, she had a stroke and had to be airlifted to Holmes Regional for a procedure to remove the blood clots from her brain. She spent many days in ICU - we were so blessed to get her home after the stroke. 2.5 weeks ago, she had to be hospitalized again for 12 days with a fungal infection, Covid , heart issues, and BP. There were days we were not sure if she would pull through, but Mom is a fighter and a warrior.

Now all the hospital bills and bills for chemo are starting to come in from when she was first diagnosed. She has insurance but insurance does not cover everything and the debt is really adding up. It is really unbelievable . Just as an example, one bill today for 30k, her portion to pay is 2k. for treatment she receives every 3 weeks (That is just one bill) The Dr appts , co pays , medication , medical supplies needed on top of hospital bills .

Our mom is a person who has always gone out of her way to help people. She would give and keep giving to a person in need.
