Help me raise money for education

Hello. My name is Ruhullah Ardjomandi, I am 19 years old and I am about to enter a new stage in life, that of university. I believe that this stage is where people experience and exude the most passion and energy towards a particular interest, which in my case is screenwriting.

From a young age, I was always fascinated by the way in which people react to stories that we see on screen. People cry, laugh, and experience real emotions from stories that are most of the time complete fiction. To me this is a form of magic, and I always wanted to be a part of creating this magic. And from then on, a dream was born within me.

Telling stories is an art, and before anything can reach the level of art, it is a craft. There are no shortcuts through that. I wish to learn more about the art of screenwriting and practice the craft with other people who are as passionate about it as me. And what better way to do this than through university.

The university that offered the course of screenwriting is called “Catalyst” and is located in Berlin. It has excellent studios and facilities, and staff who are very active in the film and TV industries. (You can read more about the course here). After writing my motivation letter and sharing examples of my work, I got accepted.

However, since I am not an EU citizen, I am not eligible for any financial support from the government towards university fees and accommodation. My intention is to find work in Berlin in order to support myself. However, it will take time to settle in and find a job, and therefore I am trying to raise funds to help me with my first year.
