Sometimes when life rains problems on us, it feels overwhelming. Rain is a much-needed resource for our environment. I believe life’s problems are an opportunity for us to experience the goodness of others.

My friend, Jose Silva Etchevarria is a proud, dedicated, hard-working husband and father of 2 boys. He's really a good human. It’s been a difficult start to 2024 for he and his wife Alicia. It’s been raining hard on his family; both he and Alicia suffered injuries within a few weeks of each other. Each of them required surgery, which brought on a mountain of medical and dental bills and limited Jose's ability to work for several weeks.

After that storm subsided, BAM! He experienced the first car accident of his life, and his van was totaled!! Fortunately, he and his wife were physically unharmed but it was another financial hit to the family. He needs his van to be able to work. As the sole provider for his family, his burden is heavy and as you might imagine, it wears on him.

We have the opportunity to shower this hardworking, family man with our goodness. When we show kindness to another it instills hope in them and others. Any amount, no matter how small or large will shower him with kindness. Together, we can build this man a rainbow after his storm.
