I have started this page to help my cousin. Her 19 year old son, T.J. Veasley, was in a bad car accident on Thursday, March 30th, 2017. He suffered multiple injuries that include a small brain bleed, a neck fracture, broken collarbone, several facial fractures and a back fracture. He had to be intubated at the ER and due to that he aspirated (which means he vomited and caused fluid to fill his lungs). So he developed a severe lung infection from this. He was in ICU and on the ventilator until today. He took a turn for the worse and the doctors at Northeast Georgia Medical Center decided they needed to hook TJ up to a machine that would bypass his lungs and do all the work for him, so that his lungs can rest and heal. As of now, he is in CCU and is stable. When his lungs improve, he will need back surgery to repair the fracture. He has a long road to complete recovery. But he will recover!
Anyone who knows this family, knows they are kind and caring people. TJ is a big hearted, fun-loving, dimple faced child with the most contagious laugh. Gracie (age 14) is such a sweet, kind hearted, baby loving, mature little sister, who adores her big brother (most of the time). Tammy, TJ's mom, is one of the most loving, caring people you could meet and has not left his side. She has Epilepsy and has to take medication daily to keep her seizures under control. Her seizures are usually brought on by lack of sleep and stress! Needless to say we are really worried about her as well. She works at Northeast Georgia Medical Center and is going to need to be out of work while TJ is in the hospital. Right now, we don't know how long that will be. Tammy doesn't have enough paid time off to be out of work with pay for the entire time. She is worried about how she will afford her Employer Sponsered insurance (which she can't afford to lose). She carries health insurance for herself and both of her children. We don't want her to worry about anything except getting TJ better.
So if there is any amount you can donate, we would appreciate it greatly. It will go straight to Tammy to help her pay for health insurance as well as everyday expenses.
Please continue to keep them in your prayers! We love you all! Thank you so much.
