I, Davon Brown is a family man, to a one year old and expecting in June 2023. Up until recently, I was a full-time grubhub driver as I continued seeking employment in upstate NY. My objective is always to bring sunshine and joy to my family, my workplace, and everywhere I go. Recently, on March 14th around 2:49pm, I was casually doing Grubhub just trying to make some extra cash where I was hit by a Jeep Cherokee on the highway exit. This caused the car to begin to shift from left to right as I tried to regain control, the car then began to spiral out of control where I crashed into the railing twice. The other motorist fled the scene and continue on with their day while I was left there with no help. I contacted my insurance company and filed a claim about the accident and I was just informed yesterday that my vehicle’s insurance policy will not cover the damage caused by the collision because I was doing grubhub versus just commuting for my own personal use. I am thankful for a second chance at life and currently recovering at home with the support of my family. My collective wish is that I make a full recovery and regain possession of the car so I can continue with my daily life. I am unable to work. This loss of income coupled with this added expenses of paying for the car damages in full without any help from an insurance policy that is being paid monthly is posing a huge financial burden to the family. Funds raised will help tremendously toward those costs, as well as basic household costs, such as bills, groceries, and everyday expenses.
