Flint, Michigan - NYC Cares

My name is Sergio S. Elejalde from NY NY - I am raising this money to assist the great people of Flint, Michigan. The purpose of this charity is to assist with the collection of Water...... Yes; water | H2O. Water is very important for life. We need water to drink, to wash our hands, to cook, to water plants and many other things. What other important uses for water do we have? Without water, the plants would die and people & animals would go thirsty.

It has come as a surprise to many that a small city in our great country is going through some difficult times. Without putting blame on who is wrong or who caused this mass problem - I have taken the stance to make a change and try to help out the people that are in need. We take a whole lot for granted on a daily basis. I have set up this page to simply raise money to fill a 24' Truck that I will rent out, pack with bottled water from the front to the back | ceiling to the floor and drive to Flint Michigan on Saturday 1/30 to deliver this truck full of bottled water and simply put smiles on the faces of the great people of Flint. Every little bit helps and can assist me with making a small impact on people that will forever be greatful. We stand strong as a nation - divided by none. I am a father, son, brother, uncle, friend and most importantly a citizen of this great country. Let us help the people that can use it at this time. I have seen people speak on national TV about how a child cannot shower nor brush his/her teeth to go to school. It is very sad and I would like to do what I can to help. Our water will aid Soup Kitchens, Public Schools, Local Residences and Warming Centers.
