Meet Luna,
She is a sweet-as-can-be, 65lb, 1.5-year-old Pitbull who has had a tough start in life. Her current owner has faced severe life and medical challenges and can no longer care for her.
While Luna is very sweet and means well, she lacks basic skills and training. She also still needs to be spayed, and needs to complete her immunizations and vet checkups. Being a Pitbull, she’s also facing a breed stigma, making rehoming her even more difficult.
We have been able to secure a family that would love to adopt her, but she desperately needs some basic training before she can be placed with them, and is being held at the Multnomah County Animal Shelter. Currently, the costs associated with her training, medical care, along with ongoing maintenance costs are a barrier to her getting the forever home she deserves.
Our Goal:
We are raising funds to cover her professional training, spaying and immunizations, and food costs.
How you can help:
- Donate: Your donation, big or small, will directly help give Luna a second chance. Every dollar raised will go directly towards Luna’s care to help cover necessities such as immediate training, medical care, and food. Any additional money raised, beyond her needs, will be donated to the Oregon Humane Society.
- Share: Spread the word! Please share Luna’s story on social media, in local rescue groups, or with friends and family.
Our Promise:
I will update this page throughout her transitional period, so we can follow along in her journey to becoming the calm, confident, and loving dog we know she can be.
Luna is still young and has her whole life ahead of her. She deserves structure, medical care, and a loving home, and with your help, she can get there.
Thank you for caring, sharing, and supporting her journey.
