Hello, my name is Oscar Hernandez. On April 25th, 2023 at 11 am, I received a devastating phone call from my mother Elizabeth stating that the house was on fire. As my heart immediately dropped I couldn't help but think of all the what, who, how it all happened. My family is Rufino (Dad 46), Elizabeth (Mom 46), Alexis (Brother 6), Emily (Sister 4) and I have lived in this house for 12 years. The house was filled with so much love, laughter, care and many heartfelt memories. As we saw the house being put out, nothing could prepare us for the worst when we saw the inside. Due to the intense flames of the fire, my family lost clothes, furniture, food, toys and normal human essentials and necessities. As we start our road to a new beginning and recovery we know it's a long road ahead of us. We are here seeking support. Hola mi nombre es Óscar Hernández. El 25 de abril de 2023 a las 11 de la mañana recibí una llamada telefónica devastadora de mi madre Elizabeth que decía que la casa estaba en llamas. Cuando mi corazón cayó inmediatamente, no pude evitar pensar en todo el qué, quién, cómo sucedió todo. Mi familia es Rufino (Papá 46), Elizabeth (Mamá 46), Alexis (Hermano 6), Emily (Hermana 4) y vivo en esta casa desde hace 12 años. La casa estaba llena de mucho amor, risas, cuidados y muchos recuerdos sinceros. Como vimos apagar la casa, nada podía prepararnos para lo peor cuando vimos el interior. Debido a las intensas llamas del fuego, mi familia perdió ropa, muebles, alimentos, juguetes y elementos básicos y de primera necesidad. A medida que comenzamos nuestro camino hacia un nuevo comienzo y recuperación, sabemos que tenemos un largo camino por delante. Estamos aquí buscando apoyo.
