My son... Lucas Rafael Ysaza was born December 28th 2015. He has an Artereovenus Fistula caused by a malformation of the vein of Galen. As a result of this he is fighting to breathe with the help of a respirator and is now in critical condition in the NICU. 

He has a very low blood pressure and is not clotting properly. He had a seizure on December 29th. One day after his birth. We are all at the edge of our seats. I have never prayed so hard in my entire life. I would gladly embrace death if it meant he could live. 

The reason for this fund me page is NOT for medical expenses. The medical expenses are covered by our insurance plan. 

I work on a contract basis and so I do NOT get full time employment benefits such as paid time off, paid holidays, vacation days, or sick day pay. So if I do not work, I do not get paid. I am asking for assistance to simply pay our rent and utilities for the next couple of months. 

At the same time I am looking after our two-year-old son Logan while my wife is at the hospital healing from the C-section. She will be home soon but baby Lucas will undoubtedly remain in the NICU until he is strong enough to finally come home. We've had help from some family baby sitting him while I travel to the hospital to spend what little time I can afford being at my son's side. Holding his little hands through the portholes of his incubator kills me a little inside every day.
