Those that know me know that normally I would never ask for help. To me this is parallel to panhandling. If it were not to benefit my child, I wouldn't. My back is against the wall.
We have been in a custody battle going on a year now to remove Logan from an abusive situation. That is all I can say right now as we go back to court in two weeks. A few friends I have spoken to and know this is a legitimate request.
I am desperate. I am in a corner.
I cannot afford to protect my child and that is a horrible, gut-wrenching feeling. I am a full time student and work part time (20 hours or less) a week so while $3500 may not be much to some, it is a fortune to me. I do not request any more than what we owe the lawyer. This is not a "let's make Drew rich scheme". This only a father's bare heart on his sleeve request for help. I have two weeks to pay my lawyer. The stress is incredible.
