The Geers family needs our help and support to end this terrible nightmare and have their family reunited. Tony and Melissa deserve to have the best lawyer around to fight for their children. I want the last thing they should have to worry about is how to pay for everything. Anything that you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
Those of you who do not know their story I have shared below what Melissa has posted to all her friends and family.
My heart is broke. I know some of you have heard or have known some of the things going on. Others this may be a shock. But two nights after Joshua's surgery he started vomiting and before we went home we thought we should have him checked out in the er to be sure it was a virus. When they did an xray they determined that he had "multiple rib fractures" later they said they made a mistake and it was just one healed fracture but the process had already started and cps had been contacted. They met us at our house when we arrived home and I explained that when Joshua had RSV they basically tortured him to get an xray and pounded on his chest for 8 days and he was only 4lbs. They put a safety plan in place where we couldn't be alone with the kids and told us to give them 3 days to prove this was a medical issue. It has now been 4 weeks of unreturned phone calls and waiting. We complied feeling there was no way anything would come of this as everything we do is for our kids. We took them the night they came to mott childrens hospital where they did xrays on the babies and examined the boys. All indicating no trauma and no concern. The detective came to my house last week and said he had no questions for me as this was clearly no an abuse case but a medical issue and tonight at about 5:45 4 police offices and 2 cps workers rang my doorbell and removed all 5 kids from the home. My heart is shattered. I can not function I am torn and broken. I appreciate those of you who have reached out. I physically ache with every part of my being. Lord God hear our cries- I am crying with such strength for you God. Hear me and hear our friends. I am in complete disbelief.
