Just a quick introduction - I'm Anna and I have the pleasure of knowing Hailey Johnson through working with her at our Woods Coffee location! I wanted to try to reach beyond our team & gather some community support to come alongside her family as they work through a really difficult time.
As many in our community may know, Hailey's mom Chantel Johnson has been in the hospital for 10+ days suffering with ulcerative colitis. This condition is incurable. Due to extremely low levels of potassiam and magnesium, she suffered a few bouts of a-fib. She is very weak & dependent on IVs, causing great strain on her body, and it is unknown when she'll be able to come home from the hospital & rejoin her family.
To add to this, on Monday morning Hailey's dad Darren suffered a damaging fall that resulted in a serious head injury, time spent in the ER, and a substantial concussion.
The bills are starting to flood in and take a serious toll. As both parents fight their way back to health, this awesome family could use some community support & love as they deal with paying two sets of hospital bills out of pocket, on top of the expenses that come with the holidays & everyday life. Be on the lookout for a meal train as well!
The Johnsons are a well-loved family in our community & it would mean so much to see some of their stress & burden alleviated. Thanks for any help you can give!
