Angela is a beautiful woman with an equally beautiful soul whom I've known for over 20 years. Since we were kids, I've always called her Angel, because she truly is one. Upon meeting her for the first time, you come away from the experience knowing there are still genuine people in the world who have love and compassion for others and would do anything to help someone in need--even at great cost to herself. It's just the kind of person she is, and anyone who knows her would echo the same.  Angela enjoys an active lifestyle, and one of her favorite activities to partake in is rock climbing. Not only does it challenge her physically, but it's been a stress reliever for her and one of the ways she's met some good friends of hers. Recently, on a pretty standard bouldering problem (climbing) she came off the wall for what she thought was a clean, normal fall to the bouldering pads. Unfortunately, her left knee buckled inward and to the right, snapping and popping, and she fell to the ground. While a friend and an EMT on the scene helped to immobilize and ice the injury, they determined they didn’t think it was broken and speculated a tear in tendons or ligaments.  While she's been relegated to crutches and in extreme pain since her injury, unfortunately, Angela is uninsured and has no way of seeing a doctor, as the costs are astronomical, and she's not been able to have an official diagnosis or treatment plan. Without proper medical treatment, she risks having irreparable damage or permanent weakness and/or pain in her leg.  Typical of her, she's still in good spirits, making others laugh and trying to see the bright, sunny side of the added rest she's getting, but it's hard for us to laugh when we're so worried about her and if she'll fully recover.
