As you may or may not know, my family suffered a house fire on 12/21. Our kitchen was a total loss and the bathroom is destroyed. The rest of the house is damaged from smoke and a lot of our things aren't salvageable: beds, dressers, clothing, toys, toiletries, basically everything.

The most important thing is we made it out safely. Sadly, our home is unlivable and we don't have the funds to repair this damage caused by the fire. Unfortunately, at this time we did not have homeowners insurance, so EVERYTHING has to come out of pocket.

Our home was up for sale, we had a buyer and a contract being written up, and now we are left with embers and nothing to rebuild with. We plan to sell the property for whatever it's worth now and start ALL over.

We are left with the unexpected financial burden of finding a new place to live, along with still paying other bills, and having to replenish our entire stock of food, clothing, household essentials, literally everything.

We are asking for help to get together a security deposit and first month's rent for a new home, refurnishing our home, all essentials, keeping up on bills, as well as any unexpected expenses that may pop up along the way.

We did not expect this, especially not around the holidays.

Anything at all will help to get us back on our feet and completely rebuild our lives.
