Echoes Across the Divide
Greetings friends, old and new!
I’m honored and excited to be a part of my buddy, Michael Hager’s, most recent efforts to record and distribute songs that inspire us to reflect, discuss and become more self-aware of the environment that we are all living in. My personal bubble was busted October 24, 2020, when I received the phone call that my most exceptional 32-year-old daughter, Margaret Hagan had taken her own life that evening in Houston Texas. Michael had written a song There is a Beginning to Every Ending dedicated to Hagan and performed the song during Hagan’s memorial service. I could think of no better way to gently open up the difficult subject of suicide and suicide prevention that impacts so many of us.
Michael has recently released an album titled Echoes Across the Divide. He has contributed all his efforts and expenses to date to this album release. Going forward all the proceeds he earns from the album will go directly to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s (AFSP) local chapters in Houston, Texas, Denver, Colorado and Napa, California, communities.
We have come up with a goal of $10,000 for this fundraiser with 50% going to the AFSP and 50% towards funds to promote and raise visibility for Echoes Across the Divide which directly impacts Michael’s efforts to help get the word out about this important cause and raise funds for the AFSP. We’d like for you to be a part of that effort with us. Your thoughts, contributions and your discussion with friends and family are appreciated as we all try to face the challenging reality of losing a loved one to this tragedy.
