My beautiful sister Elizabeth "Chavet" Perez is currently undergoing treatment for anaplastic thyroid cancer. She was recently diagnosed after she developed a mass on her neck. The mass has since been growing and is inoperable and the cancer unfortunately has spread around her neck and down into her chest. A feeding tube and a tracheostomy were placed to assist her with breathing and to provide nutrition.
She has been at the UNM Hospital in Albuquerque, NM and we are currently working on getting her back home to El Paso to be with her daughter, her grandkids, and the rest of her family and friends.
Chavet has owned and operated her own little grocery store and unfortunately is not enrolled in medical/health insurance. She needs a little help to pay for the increasing medical expenses to include the payment for the ambulance transport from Albuquerque to El Paso.
Chavet is a proud Bowie Bear Class of 1972. She is also the legal guardian for two of her three grandkids who she loves and cares for very much.
Any amount you can help with will be forever appreciated by my sister and all of her family.
