So my beautiful mother, Nicole White, was diagnosed with Melenoma cancer in September 2012, and she has been putting up a very tough fight! She is now considered Stage 4 (Terminal), but she doesn't believe it's her time yet! She has Jesus on her side, and thousands praying for her! And so far, it's been working! She has had 4 surgeries, including having her big toe amputated, and her most recent tumor removed two weeks ago, which grew to be 8cm in size, yet shes up and walking and taking on the world! She is a walking miracle! She has had 4 Radiations, and 2 Chemo treatments, and still has some more to come. As of right now we are debating our options, she has at least 8 tumors in her abdomen around 2-3 in her brain. We are considering some treatment in a cancer center in Chicago that takes patients who have been told they don't have any other options. Which my mom has been told by countless doctors in Florida. I decided to put the Goal amount as $1 because really anything helps. She is now beginning an all Vegan diet to help get rid of the proteins that could be possibly feeding her cancer, and she is trying a lot of natural, organic, and herbal foods to nourish her body with, and try to get her vitamin levels normalized for her. We decided on black as the color of her account because black is the color of the Melanoma ribbon. And I want to just say thank you you to every single person who has helped my mom along the way. The phone calls, flowers, cards, Facebook messages, everything she receives she is so greatful for. There's been a lot of hard days for her.. And I've seen her come home to bright colorful flowers, and homemade cards, and she knows how much she is loved and shows it with the biggest smile on her face. It's amazing knowing how many people truly care. She has been a teacher at Western Pines Middle since 1998, and sadly 2015 is the year she is getting disability, and retiring. But in her 17 years there, She has helped teach, inspire, help, educate, and touch the lives of so many students. She has also attended and helped volunteer at our Church Community of Hope since 1999. She has helped so many children learn about God, and how through him, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE. Including beat cancers butt for 3 years straight! While all doctors look to science and continually keep telling us that she has no time left, she wakes up every day to thank God for the beautiful day that he has blessed her with. She is so thankful for the life she has, and the amazing people she has and continues to know.
