My cousin Lisa is one of the most generous people I know. Most people who know her would say the same -- if she's not helping her own kids, she's helping out a friend, neighbor, or perhaps a wounded animal. Even when she has little to give, she gives.

She has a big heart, and never asks for anything in return for helping out.

Recently, Lisa's best friend and companion of many years, Jim, was murdered. Jim and Lisa had a special connection and the loss and grief felt by her and her children is immense. Not only was Jim an important part of their lives, but he was also a contributor to the household -- making improvements and fixes that would otherwise be too costly to hire out. In short, he was an active part of their family.

As a single parent, Lisa works hard to keep the family afloat. Money is always tight. I made this GoFundMe to help alleviate some of Lisa's financial burdens (mortgage, healthcare, bills) while she and her family grieve this tragic loss, and figure out "what's next" for their family.
