On January 15, 2023 Zack was in a bad motorcycle accident while riding the Loop in Ormond. Zack was wearing gear and a helmet, but hit the ground so hard that he fractured his pelvis in multiple places, fractured his collar bone, and has a laceration in his spleen. They have decided for now to hold off on surgery, as his fractures are clean and his spleen should hopefully be able to heal on it's own. Which means a long recovery time of laying and waiting to heal.
Zack is an HVAC technician so he will be out of work for an extended period of time. His health insurance lapsed so he will be paying for everything out of pocket. He will need extensive PT, which usually won't even see a patient without payment first.
Zack has grown up with my husband. He is another brother and an Uncle to our boys. I know he absolutely hates asking help so that's why we are asking for him. Anyone that knows Zack knows that work is his top priority and that he has always gone back before he should. We're hoping to try to alleviate the financial burden so he can actually take the time to take care of himself for once.
