It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Ma/rre, whose kindness and gentle spirit touched everyone she met. Ma/rre was known for her jokes, comforting words, and the way she made every person feel like family. She had a heart full of generosity, always ready to lend a hand or help without judgment. Her jokes could brighten the darkest days, and her unwavering love for her family and friends was truly inspiring.

As we grieve this tremendous loss, our family’s wish is to bring Ma/rre home to Louisiana so she may rest near generations of loved ones. We are seeking the support of family, friends, and all who knew her to help with the unexpected costs of transporting her from Greensboro, North Carolina to her final resting place in Louisiana. Any donation, no matter the amount, will help us honor her memory and give her the homecoming she so deeply deserves.
