Hi, My husband Joshua unexpectedly got a huge migraine headache over the Labor Day Holiday weekend. Over the next few days and many testing later, we ended up driving 4 hours to the best hospital in the US, MD Anderson Cancer Center. That's where they did test after test to find a brain tumor on the left occipital lobe of his brain. The future is unknown at this time, we just ask that any help is greatly appreciated while we navigate through new water. He feels okay and plans to go back to security at Flour Bluff High School just as soon as he can. While he's away, I will need to take some time off, and owning a small family-owned business makes it more challenging when we will need to pay for additional help.
We are waiting on the neurosurgeon team to get back with us on when we show up for surgery. Right now it’s a waiting game and cherish the time we have at the most normal living we can.
We will need the extra help for travel, housing, food and any unexpected bills. Thanks for the help. He’s an avid Harley Davidson rider and his goal is after surgery, chemo and radiation that he can one day ride again.
