Hi Friends!

The purpose of this fund is to help alleviate some of the financial burden that Dustin and Cali Cupples Despain are going to endure while Cali is being treated for Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.  Any financial help, along with your continued prayers, would be GREATLY appreciated.  If you are unaware of the full story please read below.

Cali began having issues in January of 2014.  She was diagnosed with Type A flu, but also had another infection that the doctor’s were never able to pinpoint.  She saw several doctors in her hometown and surrounding cities.  None were able to determine what exactly was going on with her at the time.  However, God new exactly what was going on.  Had the doctor’s discovered Cali’s cancer at that time then she would not have been able to conceive, carry, and deliver her sweet baby boy.

In May 2014, Dustin and Cali became pregnant.  When Cali was 33 weeks pregnant she noticed a large knot on her neck.  After several doctor’s visits, lots of blood work, and an abnormal biopsy, the decision was made by her OB and surgeon to remove it ASAP.  The knot was removed on February 20th and on February the 24th, 2015, at 35 weeks pregnant, Dustin and Cali received the news that Cali has Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.     Cali met with the high risk OB doctor 2 days later and it was decided that she would be induced around 38 weeks to deliver their precious baby boy.  

On March 11th, Dustin and Cali welcomed Gunner Wayne Despain into the world. Only 5 short days later, Cali had to leave her newborn baby to go and meet with her cancer doctor and begin her journey to DEFEAT cancer.  Cali will be receiving chemotherapy treatments every 2 weeks for the next 6 months.  This will be a huge burden emotionally, physically, and financially for Dustin and Cali.  All PRAYERS and any donations are GREATLY appreciated.  I encourage you to please COVER this sweet family in prayer as they face this challenge.
