Over the past couple of months, Drew (age 37) battled with pneumonia and then had emergency mitral valve heart surgery. A few weeks after his heart surgery, while he was recovering at home, he suffered a major stroke. He was in a medically induced coma in the ICU and has now started to respond to commands. However, he has a long road ahead of him as he will be in a skilled nursing facility for a year since he requires extensive rehabilitation.

Due to Covid restrictions, he is unable to have visitors, and does not have any family in Southern California. Most of his family reside in Australia, and they are unable to travel at this time. Tragically, his Mom is also battling terminal cancer. 

Drew has always been there to help out his friends, and he now needs our support. He will also be greatly missing his beloved dogs, Teddy and Biscuit, who will need to be re-homed during this time.

Funds will be used towards Drew’s future rehabilitation treatments, medication, specialty medical equipment costs, and any other related unforeseen expenses.
