In Memory of Phil Young

The Warragul Regional College class of 1999 is raising money for Phil Young’s family, in the wake of his recent passing.

Phil was loved and remembered by his school mates as a fun, genuine kid, cheeky but gentle, and always kind, who accepted everyone as they were. He grew up to be a man of integrity, raising two young boys with his wife Jess.

Those who were at our school reunion in 2019 heard about Phil and Jess’ plans to open a cafe in Drouin, some of us met Jess for the first time, and saw Phil as a grown man, not the cheeky kid he was in the 90s! It was so lovely to reconnect after 20 years, and then to hear of this recent tragic loss has hit us hard.

Phil’s unexpected passing at the age of 40 has devastated so many; and prompted his school mates to start this fundraiser, where all funds raised will be passed on to Jess and the boys to use however they wish.

Jess, to you and your boys, to Phil’s family and closest mates, we send you our love and support, and hope these funds make a small difference to your lives in the coming months.
