Anky Carpenter's medical fund

On Sunday, February 22, 2015, promising Dressage Young Rider, Megan Carpenter's talented Dutch mare, Anky Van Weltevreden,  sustained a fracture to her left hind pastern bone in a freak accident.  She was transported to the Equine Medical Center in Leesburg, VA and the next day to New Bolton where Dr. Dean Richardson (Barbaro's surgeon and an expert in such injuries) performed surgery.  While Anky is doing very well in recovery thus far, her performance career is uncertain and her recovery will be long and costly, well exceeding the amount provided by insurance.  Friends of Megan, Anky and the Carpenter Family have established this fund to help the Carpenters give Anky the best chance at recovery possible.  Any donations are greatly appreciated!
