Irma left us with nothing
Donation protected
This past week a tornado caused by Hurricane Irma hit my apartment and took the roof with it. I have lived on the top floor at 432 NE 27th for almost two years and dispite the issues with the building, never imagined anything like this happening. We lost everything and now we are forced to start over. I feel blessed that myself, my partner, and eleven month old son had evacuated to Gainesville to wait out the storm with family. We are asking for help so that we can get into a new apartment as soon as possible and start rebuilding our lives. It's funny though, I lost everything but I believe that everything will work out the way God planned and that he wouldn't put more on me than I can bear. The kindness that people have shown us throughout this ordeal has restored my faith that there are still good people in this world. Anything will help and we are in constant contact with our downstairs neighbor who also lost everything and have three small boys to think about; one an infant so any donations for them would also be greatly appreciated.
