Support Amanda's Education

Donation protected

Well, we are still trying to figure out how this can be happening!

How did we find ourselves in such a dire situation that our last resort is asking OTHERS for financial assistance for OUR daughter to be able to attend college?

As parents, we are willing to do ANYTHING for our children.

So here we are….

Keith and I are financially unable to afford to send our daughter Amanda to college.

We are NOT slackers by any means…

I have been a Professional Educator for over 15 years.

I have also worked a second job every day for five years and I work all summer.

Keith had worked two jobs as well, until this past June when he no longer had the full time position. He now works multiple part time jobs while trying to find something more permanent.

Our home is modest and in need of many repairs, yet it is about to go into pre foreclosure for the second time in the past 12 months.

 Now college is upon us.
We just do not have any money to pay for it.

We completed the FAFSA (financial aid) and were SHOCKED when we were denied assistance! They did offer Amanda $5,000 in interest accruing loans but that doesn’t even begin to make a dent in a year of tuition.

Every parent wants the best for their child.

Amanda’s HAPPINESS is our ultimate goal!

Anyone who knows our family, knows how difficult life has been for Amanda.

While she has always been a loving child who has been devoted to her family, she never had close friends and she found it extremely difficult to fit in.

During her freshman year of high school she started to slip away from us.

She was severely depressed and reclusive.

At 14, we found out that she was cutting herself regularly and suicidal.

At that same time she also opened up to us and let us know that she was gay.

Amanda is our daughter… THE LOVE OF OUR LIFE!

Her happiness is our ONLY desire!

We sought support immediately.

Each of us has our own journey to travel and
Amanda has really turned her life around!

She is looking forward to a bright future, which starts at Florida Gulf Coast University in August. By then, she will be a certified EMT and plans to pursue a medical career, possibly becoming a pediatric surgeon. She even has a job opportunity at the local hospital near the college.

SHE JUST HAS TO MAKE IT THERE!

THIS IS HER CHANCE!

Her chance to find the light at the end of a very long tunnel.

Please help her on her journey.

Whatever you can do, whatever gift you can make…

$50, $500, $5,000 (okay maybe that’s a lot)    :)

You will be making an important difference in the life of ONE GIRL so that she can pay it forward and make a difference in the lives of MANY others in the future!

Thank you.
