Hello, my name is Jay Ballard. The creation of this account is in response to the number of people who have inquired about how they can help concerning the recent injuries of Ashley Ballard, formely Ashley Conrad. As many of you who are reading this already know, Ashley recently sustained a significant spinal injury, as well as a multitude of other injuries, when she fell 40 feet on March 3, 2015. Ashley has been in Virginia Beach General Hospital since the fall, finally leaving ICU on 3/26/15. Once ready for hospital discharge, Ashley will be spending the next 4-6 weeks at a spinal injury rehab center to soon be determined, followed by months of occupational and physical therapy.
For those of you who don't know Ashley closely; Ashley grew up in York County, graduating from Tabb High School. Upon graduation, Ashley attended and graduated from Old Dominion University in 2007. Ashley spent the first 5 years after graduation teaching special needs children in Isle of Wight County, Va. Ashley and I married in 2012, and in 2013, we were blessed with our precious son Jayton. Since Jayton's birth, Ashley has dedicated herself to being a stay-at-home mom.
If you would like to help, donations to this account will be used for medical and rehabilitaion expenses, as well as other costs associated with her injuries. Any donations, positive thoughts or prayers are all very much appreciated.
Sincerely Yours,
Jay Ballard
