Hi, my name is Neal Platt and I have never had to ask for help before; I never thought I would need to. My wife and I are disabled seniors. We are elderly and trying to take care of an adult son who is on the spectrum. We have already lost our home and will not make it if we do not get some monetary help. We are getting Food Stamps for $250 a month for a family of 3. We are no longer taking our heart and diabetic medications... the Medicare co-pay is just too much money. My wife has suffered a stroke and a heart attack. She has become highly despondent and frightened. I am afraid for my family, especially my son. We are short $3,000 a month for expenses, which include medical bills, utilities, other household costs and medications. We have applied for disability and many other programs and are on long wait lists. I can barely walk and seeking work at home. We need to set up a trust fund for our son; he will require assistance after we are gone.
We know times are hard for everybody. We have spent much of our lives helping others in need and have led a decent life, been honest, and assisted in the community. Sadly, it is now our turn to ask for help. If it is all possible, anything you could provide...we would be eternally grateful. We never thought we would be in this position. We hate having to ask for help, but we have run out of options. I am reaching out to all of you. Please help if you can, including any job leads.
Thank you for reading this. Bless you, Neal and Fran
