My name is Charlie, and I'm creating this to request help with medical costs for my cat, Lucy.

A few weeks ago, I noticed a mass growing on her face. We went to the vet and treated her with antibiotics and steroids because the vet suspected an abscess.

Unfortunately, the mass has continued to grow. The next steps for her care are sedation, xrays, bloodwork, and surgery to remove the mass and improve her quality of life.

The cost of the sedation, xrays, and testing is just under $1,500. The cost of surgery to resect the mass, which has overtaken the teeth on her lower right jaw, is an additional $1,500.

Just a little over 12 years ago, Lucy came into my life. She's been by my side through so much. A divorce, a cross country move, the loss of my mom, and most recently, the loss of our dog Dexter, her best friend.

I know for a lot of people, she's just a cat. It might seem silly to fight so hard and spend so much to make sure she has the best quality of life. For me though, Lucy is my baby. I've raised her since she was a kitten She's saved my life as much as I've saved hers.

I know she still has so much life left to live. This surgery is a necessity to achieve that.
