David’s road to recovery
Donation protected
Hey everyone, on 8/8/22 at approximately 1 AM our dear friend David Eninger was involved in a terrible accident. David was waiting to make a turn and was T-Boned by a speeding driver who ran a red light and then fled the scene on foot. David was extracted from his vehicle by Seattle Fire Department and quickly transported to Haborview Medical Center in critical condition. Currently, David is still heavily sedated with an ET tube and a ventilator breathing for him. He sustained multiple fractures to his pelvis, ribs and both clavicles. Internally he has a lacerated kidney & spleen, bruising to his lungs and heart, and suffered grade 2 diffuse axonal injury & minor brain bleeds then have since stopped. Later in the week he developed a fever and pneumonia in both lungs. The good news is that he has shown some awareness to both verbal and physical contact. He was able to shake his head “no” when a nurse asked if he was in pain, he also shook his head “yes” when asked if he was having a hard time breathing. David is going to have a very long road to recovery and needs all the well wishes, thoughts, love, and prayers you have. His Mother and Father are rotating days in the hospital. Only one guest is allowed in at a time.
We are hoping this fund will help David and family with bills and support during his recovery. We will continue to update as we know more information, please share far and wide.
David moved to Washington this past year where he is continuing his career in Naval Special Warfare as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Operator . He purchased his first home as well as adopted his new best friend Nash.
