On Dec 18, Jodie passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind her husband Greg and their children , Jade (age 11) and Jay (age 10).
Jodie was an amazing mother, devoted wife, loving sister and a dear friend to many of us. There was not a fight she was unwilling to fight for that involved the people she loved!
Selfless, Loyal, Loving, Tough and Funny are only a few words used to describe Jodie. She stood beside many in our community in a pursuit to provide better education for the most vulnerable children. When our school community was compromised , she fought tirelessly never backing down! Many were inspired by her dedication and drive to keep on fighting even when it was a losing battle.
We are all better for having known Jodie. She loved her family and friends fiercely and was passionate about social justice. Jodie was a truly unique and memorable individual. She was kind and generous in ways that we don't see too often these days.
Jodie's sudden loss reminds us to cherish time with our loved ones and to provide support in times of need.
