I am looking for help to purchase a headstone for my son who passed very suddenly at the age of 29 on June 29th of 2014. He left behind an amazing then 5-year-old daughter who misses her Daddy with all her heart and soul. He was an amazing father and devoted himself to her. The total cost is 2984.00. I cannot come up with the total amount within the deadline on my current hourly wage and the clock is ticking. He currently only has a name plate with date of birth and death. The cemetery requirements are headstone placement within one year from burial but they have been kind enough to agree to let it stay up another 2 months past their regulations. Everyone who passes deserves a headstone. My son was a good, kind young man who would do anything for anyone, even total strangers, and I witnessed that on many occasions. I cannot do this alone. Even if I were to borrow the money, it would take me my lifetime to pay it back and that would only cheat my granddaughter. Any excess funds possibly raised will go into the trust fund I established for my granddaughter from donations given to me upon his passing. The trust is completely secured as I have appointed a trustee to oversee it and all of her expenses, be it college tuition and books etc., have to be paid by the trustee directly to the source. No one can touch the money. Not even me. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Frankly, It bothers me that I have to do this, but I have to do this for my son. He would have done it for me and therefore, this is the least I can do for him.
