Villanova University Organization - Friends of CHOP would like to share the story of Connor Boyle VSB '26. Connor was a gentle giant who loved watching New England sports, rating Crumbl cookie flavors with his friends, and destroying his family during competitive card games. He was a talented quarterback and pitcher. In September 2019, during his sophomore year, Connor was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, an aggressive type of bone cancer. He endured countless surgeries, chemo treatments, and nights at CHOP while maintaining a 4.0 and supporting his varsity football and baseball teams. After graduation, Connor planned to major in accounting at Villanova. Sadly, Connor passed in August 2022 after his 3 year battle with cancer. While his story is inspiring, he did not want to be viewed as a hero. Instead, he asked his family to give back to CHOP, where he received all of his care.
